For the very first time, SAND BASH will host an all Women's Sand Sculpting Competition. Women sculptors are coming from all over the globe to compete for the Blanche E. Swope Gold Cup. (who is Blanche E. Swope?)

Countries currently represented are:
United States, Canada, Italy, Netherlands and Australia.

In the history of Sand Sculpting there has never been a competition solely dedicated to women sand sculptors. We are excited to partner with the The Susan G. Komen foundation of SW Florida in bringing this event to beautiful Fort Myers beach.

Our goal is simple: Host the first All-Women's Sand sculpting competition while supporting breast cancer awareness.

Watch two sculptors face off in a 10 minute sculpt off.
They sculpt a subject the audience chooses and the audience chooses the winner.

Blanche E. Swope

Blanche Swope was a survivor of breast cancer thru a mastectomy who later passed away due to an unrelated illness. Blanche’s sister Georgia also was a breast cancer survivor who went on to live a long life, later passing away to unrelated illness.

Blanche Swope is the Grandmother of Marianne Knight, Co-owner of; The Sand Lovers, LLC., Sand Bash event producers.

The Blanche E. Swope Gold Cup has been designed in conjunction with April being National Cancer Control Month. During National Cancer Control Month, we remember those we have lost, support Americans fighting this disease, and recommit or commit to progress toward effective cancer control.
